Kathleen Hansen was ordered to serve six days in jail and pay a $5,000 fine as well as court costs. The defendant - who was convicted by a Clarion County jury last year of misdemeanor dog law violations - will receive credit for the six days she already served in prison. Judge James Arner said she will be placed on immediate parole status. The mother of victim Lily Krajewski had written a letter to the judge asking for a prison sentence of two years, 10 months, and 18 days - Lily's age at the time of her death. Lily's mother, Karen Krajewski, is Hansen's daughter. The Krajewskis live out of state. Hansen was found not guilty on charges of involuntary manslaughter, reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child following a two-day trial in Clarion. Two mature rottweilers escaped from their kennel and attacked Lily as she played outside with Kathleen Hansen after her parents allowed her to stay at the Hansen home the morning of March 16, 2003, according to testimony. Karen Krajewski testified there was an agreement before she and her husband, Gerald, left that Kathleen Hansen would not let Lily play outside because the dogs had escaped from a poorly-constructed kennel earlier that day. I linked into dannyhaszard.com & freeminds.org today and was very interested in what I read there. While I have never personally been involved with the JW's, but I do have friends who once were, and I have seen the damage that this group can do to people......... I was very pleased to see in the "Origins" section on your site, that you mention the connection between modern JW's & the old Russellites........ In 1914 my great grandfather's brother (my great-great grand uncle?) who had been a follower of Rev Russel committed suicide, mistaking the outbreak of WWI for Armageddon and believing that he was going to Russel's paradise. He was still a young man and my great grandfather never got over it....... Even though modern Jehovah's Witnesses like to gloss over their origins to help proclaim legitimacy as a religious movement, there are those of us out there who know the truth. Glossy literature, big money and millions of members internationally can't change the origins of the Watchtower Society: it started as a doomsday cult, like Heaven's Gate or Panawave, and remains as such to this day....... Hi Danny, I found your site on accident while looking at free press release web sites. Originally from XXX, I now live in XXX. --- My mother's side of our family has been decimated from the cult of Jehovah's Witnesses. My mother brought us to a local JW Kingdom Hall as a small boy. (I'm now 40 years young) While I could belabor the point, I just wanted to point out that I've watched my whole life as family members that called themselves JW's controlled, manipulated, and acted like the Gestapo towards one another.---- A born-again believer myself, It hurts me deeply to see cousins, nephews, and nieces that may never have an ear for the things of Jesus Christ because of the lies and manipulation used by Jehovah's Witnesses.--- Here are some person thoughts and observations.------ Because Jehovah's Witnesses are banned from celebrating birthdays (All because John The Baptist was beheaded as a birthday wish) JW's will present gifts or have a small get together a few days before or after someone's actual birth date. This eases the guilty conscience of violating a JW ban on birthday celebrations.--- When in doubt, get them out-numbered - Mormons do this also, I remember as a young Christian having numerous debates with an aunt and one of her friends when I would visit. Every time I countered a point, they would tell me, we needed to go meet with the elders so they could set me straight. JW's will always try to get someone out numbered if they can...preying on the week. (Wolves do this)--- Because JW's are banned from celebrating Christmas and most traditional Christian holidays, they again will exchange gifts or celebrate in a small way a major holiday days before or after the actual holiday as not to violate a JW edict.--- I saw or heard numerous times as a child and teenager JW family threaten other JW family members of being turned in or reported to the elders for smoking a cigarette, drinking a beer, going to a movie, etc.--- JW family members embarrassed publicly by other JW family members for not conforming to another's ideals (legalism)--- My mom was dis-fellowshipped (for something she was wrongly accused) when I was about 7 or 8 years old, and to this day, my mother has been shunned by other family members that became JW's, but none of whom had any knowledge of her indictment.--- Personal thought - JW's will love you into fellowship and then legislate and legalize you to death if you do not conform to every ideal (Mormons do this too). In Christ, we are given the freedom to choose as we stand alone in the end before His throne of judgment. You cannot legislate others into obedience.--- Just before I moved to XXX, two JW's knocked on my door asking me if I would participate in a survey regarding the events of the day and current culture. It was a brilliantly scripted sales pitch in which they offered me books and magazines from the Watch Tower organization. Why hide or mask truth behind a sales pitch?--- Pray for Jehovah Witnesses that the scales would fall from their eyes, and that the light and truth of Jesus Christ would penetrate their hearts and minds.--- XXX-XXXXXX

No place for fighting words - Sunday, January 28, 2007 The Missoulian, MT - Especially noteworthy, at least in regard,is a Supreme Court case involving a Jehovah's Witness named Walter Chaplinsky. ... --------------- Chaplinsky was foisting religious literature on ungrateful pedestrians in Rochester, N.H., one busy Saturday afternoon. People complained to police, who explained that Chaplinsky had a constitutional right to proselytize. As he persisted, however, one thing led to another, and an uproar ensued. A policeman tried to escort Chaplinsky away, not to arrest him but to diffuse the situation. Chaplinsky turned to the arriving town marshal and said, “You are a God-damned racketeer a damned fascist - and the whole government of Rochester are fascists or agents of fascists.” He spewed this venom, by the way, in 1942, when millions of Americans were busy fighting and dying in a war against fascists. A local jury convicted Chaplinsky of violating a New Hampshire law barring hateful, offensive speech. Claiming he had a First Amendment right to curse the cop, Chaplinsky took his case to the U.S. Supreme Court. He lost. The Supreme Court said that the First Amendment doesn't protect “fighting words.” “These include the lewd and obscene, the profane, the libelous and the insulting or ‘fighting words' - those which, by their very utterance, inflict injury or tend to incite an immediate breach of the peace Such utterances are no essential part of any exposition of ideas, and are of such slight social value as a step to truth that any benefit that may be derived from them is clearly outweighed by the social interest in order and morality.” .... There you have it a Supreme Court ruling that the Jehovah's Witnesses LOST.
